CHAHAK KIDS ACADEMY GETS NEW SCHOOL BUILDING AT SEALDAH

Kolkata, 07th March, 2025.

Eastern Railway Women's Welfare Organization (ERWWO) is engaged in a range of philanthropic activities which include empowerment of women,

conducting vocational training programme and community service activities such as disaster relief, environmental conservation and welfare programs for the benefit of Railway employees, 

their families and the society at large. As a part of that multidimensional noble endeavour, ERWWO/Sealdah runs a honorary Primary School *"Chahak Kids Academy* at Sealdah to spread education amongst underprivileged and impoverished children.

Chahak Kids Academy commenced its educational journey from April 2013 with 30 students, 3 dedicated teachers and one non-teaching staff with a devotion to spread education amongst poor and destitute children.

The school was temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Subsequently, the coveted educational institution reopened on 03rd July, 2023. Under the enthusiastic leadership of Smt. Gunjan Nigam, President ERWWO/Sealdah, the school went on expanding and nowadays it runs with 65 students and 3 devoted teachers to embark on a new chapter of learning and growth.

Emboldened by the relentless support from 

ERWWO/Sealdah, Chahak Kids Academy celebrates opening of its new school building which is equipped with 3 modern classrooms, 1 teacher's room and 1 toilet, marking a significant milestone in its journey of providing quality modern education to young minds. Smt. Seema Deouskar, President, ERWWO/ Eastern Railway inaugurated the new school building of Chahak Academy today (07.03.2025), in presence of Railway officials, members of ERWWO and other dignitaries.

All the students of this academy are provided with free books, school bags and uniforms. Over the years, the school established itself as a nurturing ground for early childhood education, fostering a love for learning and holistic development of its students.

Smt. Seema Deouskar, President/ERWWO, in her brief address stated that, we are thrilled to open the doors of new building of Chahak Kids Academy. The past COVID era was indeed challenging, but our belief in the power of education has remained steadfast. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where our students can thrive. The opening of Chahak Kids Academy School building is a testament to the resilience and determination of ERWWO. The school's mission is to provide a strong foundation for young learners, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their academic and personal lives.
